A happy final party for a sad parting. On my left
is Atchara Tejapaibul and Krirk Tungsanga, (active BSO
Executive Board members), and to my right is Monica,
my wife, Khun Sutin (BSO ex-leader) and Witaya
Tumornsoontorn (BSO Manager).
Looming financial problems for both orchestra and country, loss of
main sponsor, meant a drastic cutback on the Classical Series
concerts, and of course my presence was therefore an unaffordable
luxury.
It was a truly stimulating time and I wish the BSO
happier and more secure times to come.
